REVIEW

A Cure of Welleness has a running time of 146 minutes, the movie is R-16 rated, and started on February 15, 2017 in cinemas and tell us the story of Mister Lockhart, who was recently promoted in a financial business company in the middle of New York city. He got the task to find the CEO in a camp in Switzerland, because the firm needs the CEO to make some very important decisions. So Mister Lockhart starts his journey, arriving in the village of the wellness park, where the CEO is supposed to be, he finds out that something is seriously wrong. The employees are fighting with each other and the village people are also strange in their behaviours. But most of all Mister Lockhart has to stay longer than expected.

This is all what I want to tell you about the story, because the rest would be pure spoiling, but the movie is twisty, it has mindfuck moments, and it is a big surprise.

The CAST starts with Dane DeHaan as Mister Lockhart. He has a clear task to find the CEO, he arrives in this center, where the CEO is supposed to be and he feels like wow I want to stay longer here. But very soon he finds out something strange, but most of he wants to find the CEO. Dane DeHaan has a very white skin, and it fits perfectly to the movie, he truly and naturally looks scared all the time. His role is passive and active at the same time.
Mia Goth plays Hannah, a special character in the movie,  the crazy story is, that she is like a left alone woman. I can't tell you more, just watch the movie.

Than we have Jason Isaacs as Volmer, the owner of the wellness center. He is a dominate, but also strange, intelligent, and crazy person in the movie, typical for that genre.

The feeling is always like this: something is strange here. The movie is in German and English, even in OT it is partyl in German, because the SETTING is in Switzerland, in the center of "wellness".

The CAMERA is really intersting, cold picutres, gears of the floors of the wellness center are shown, which look so lost and long. Sometimes creppy. Sometimes we also see picutres of the beautiful landscape of the Alpes, where Mister Lockhart and Hannah are walking outside. A waterfall is cool and it breaks the dark and creppy parts of the center. Think about the rest.

The MUSIC is okay, nothing special, sometimes silent, sometimes good.

The EFFECTS are not relevant here, but you can see the CGI.

CONCLUSIONS:
What I liked is, that the movie is twisty, it is a mindfuck movie, I liked the cast, I liked the rough art of the movie, the dark and creppy areas where it is taking us, and I liked the result that it makes you think of what ill you do if you are in that situation, maybe to be in hostage.
What I did not like about the movie is, that the movie is a bit too long, at the end I was sad, because there were better chances to end up.

So what the genre I will give it 8/10 and overall 7.5/10 points.
Thank you for reading and have fun watching movies.
